How to properly file a Deal Dispute in a few steps

It is not always that deals go as planned. Your last effort of trying to resolve a deal or warning the community about a particular user
is by posting a Deal Dispute. My goal is to keep this thread short and straight forward - not making it unnecessarily lengthy.

How to proceed

1. Start with making a new thread in Deal Disputes.
   
2. Add your title using the template below.
   
3. Copy paste the template for the thread itself.
   
4. Adjust it to fit your case and situation.
   
5. Fill it in with information and proof.
   
6. Stay structured. And post it.
   

• If you are upgraded, add it to the Deal Dispute Database.
  Why? Because then it will appear on the scammers Trust Scan.
  

• You need at least 50 quality posts in order to post links.
  You can add a space in the link or add it within [code] tags.
  

• You need neutral or positive rep to post your Deal Dispute
  The Deal Dispute section is in the marketplace. Read about the Popularity System.
  

• How do I find the UID?
  Go to their profile and grab it from the link. "uid=3077324".

Section Rules

1. HF will not be held responsible for deals made by members. All deals at your own risk.
   
2. No posting of private data in text form. Screenshots related to deals allowed (paypal, PMs) only.
   
3. Do not contact staff about a deal dispute.
   
4. Any reputation you leave calling someone a scammer requires you to link to a deal dispute you've created.
   
5. Deal must have originated on HF and be tied to an HF member with a thread or PM.
   
6. Read Help Docs and stickies for additional information.
   
7. Upgraded members can also add an entry into the Deal Dispute Database.
   

Things to keep in mind

• Keep it simple, otherwise people won't care to read.
  
• Structure it well for users to easy understand the situation.
  
• Present it in a way that will get people to read it and not just pass on it.
  Having users confirming that the deal dispute is valid might help you getting it resolved.
  
• Read DO NOT CONTACT STAFF and Scammer Reputations.

You should add how to find the UID. A surprising number of people posting DD's don't know how to find it.

Both very good suggestions. This is an excellent thread, I hope it can be stickied in the actual Deal Dispute section as that is where it would make the most impact.

Agreed - one thing I would mention I know it's not related but maybe how to properly find past deal disputes? Would be nice to show new people I feel a lot fall crime to notorious scammers.
