EDIT feature Limited

EDIT limts REVERTED
I knew something was going to happen. This is definitely a better alternative to completely removing the feature. I hope that it doesn't continue as losing the edit feature completely would be a big loss.
Nice to hear that the staffs doing something about it :)
Kind of sucks for those who constantly update old threads like tutorials and guides, but, I suppose it had to be done.
The abusers ruined it for everyone. It sucks that this is necessary but at least this will (most likely) end the constant abuse. We can make it work.

So many warnings, but people never learn.

Marketplace sellers will not like this.
Oh well, whatever

I can see this affecting many members with guides or with sales threads. Let’s see what happens.

That's the problem. It's mostly the marketplace sellers that are abusing the feature.

Yes, I'd rather see repfucks get reimplemented than everyone get punished because of some dickheads deleting all their threads because they have shit to hide.

What will be the solution for marketplace seller changes in price/terms/whatever? Close the old thread and create a new one? Is it allowed?

Oh, I thought the problem was people deleting all of their content because they scammed someone and don't want to get doxed.

What situation do you need to edit posts constantly? I don't see a reason past 90 days.

People who commit edit abuse most likely don't care about the site. A repkill* for them would mean little to nothing to most of them.

To be fair, you have. Sad that this had to be implemented. Hopefully this will work out well. It's shouldn't be the end of the world but it'll certainly be noticeable.

I will be honest I've edited threads that would be considered thread edit abuse no harmful intentions from me I just didn't know that's what it was. Since then haven't don't it.

I created this thread yesterday: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5739583

I was going to list all of my previous signals, that's now impossible after 90 days. I guess I'll have to come up with a system to still show the previous signals somehow, maybe implementing it in the site could work (embed an image and update the image on the host server)
