Is this different than anonymously buying an hour long vps elsewhere? Is there something I'm missing, because a self exploding vps doesn't get rid of the logs that are gathered from feds by ISPs. Also it doesn't address a complete compromise of advanced government malware they've been proven to deploy on onion websites. Perhaps capable of infecting viewing computers (we can't know for sure). Who knows if they can exploit modern VPN systems to unmask real information... so if I understand right this is a browser based VM/VPS rental that self destructs? Thanks for providing a nice free service.

No worries, the free version will always be available for use. Thanks, NullifiedVoid (Jun 3, 2018 01:07 PM)9h05t Wrote: Is this different than anonymously buying an hour long vps elsewhere? Thanks for providing a nice free service. Hello 9h05t, Yes it is completely different than anonymously purchasing a vps from some place else. A VPS is going to be owned by a company who more than likely keeps logs as well as their ISP. The VPS could also be compromised especially if a user utilizes Tor browser. Tor browser is still a browser, that means that it inherits all vulnerabilities publicly known and unknown of a browser. So the government could deploy malware onto the VPS through that browser. Also note that if the VPS is not disposed properly, the government could use foreniscs to reconstruct the VPS. The government does not have to make attempts to compromise a VPN they could just send a subpoena to obtain all logs to aid in their investigation. Or subpoena for the crypto keys to decrypt traffic. What SADD provides is rental, web-based, properly self-destructing VMs that use a Tor gateway (router instead of browser). By using Tor as a gateway the ISP of our servers cannot see what websites/servers our users visit. There is also no DNS leakage. Worst case scenario if malware was deployed on your VM from an onion website by the government through an OS/browser exploit, they could not identify the user by IP address like they would if a user was simply using Tor browser, because the IP addess would be that of the Tor gateway, not the user’s home connection. Hey lil xan, I cannot see what users are doing on the desktops unless they give me their token found in the URL.
