After the login reset I got kicked out just like everyone.

To start, I used the contact form to send info to staff/admin regarding my account. In that note, I stated that I do not have my auth app backup. However, after some good digging in my email, I found my backup key. Please find the screenshot below:

I recently upgraded my iphone and did not have Google Auth on my new phone. However, back then, I had emailed my backup key to myself.
Tho when I hover my mouse over it, it says hackforums.net so I'm not even sure this is Google Auth backup...Is there a way for me to use this backup key to restore HF 2fA?

Now, I try to use it on google auth app to manually create an entry for a time based key and this is what I got using the backed up key:

However, when I use this time based key, it won't let me login and says "bad 2fa key" or something like that.
My account email is: [email protected]
The IP on this account can be used to match it to that of on my original account (Savoy) which I can't access.
Also, I can verify any info related to my account whether it's contract details that I've had recently, or Private messages. Anything without exceptions I can verify about my account to prove this is me Savoy and not an impostor trying to access my account.

Another update: I am active in the CE section and i can confirm any account used by me when exchanging such as cash app, venmo, etc(probably you would care less about this one and would say hey we dont have no to verify your shit idk, but hey I am sitting here and thinking of ways of proving my identity).

Also don't use your direct backup key in login, download GAuth plugin/program and post your backup key inside it then login with the generated key.

I am not using the direct key bud. I am using the key to create a manual entry in Gauth app. And I did get my time based key based on this recovery key. However, HF login page says its wrong.

So many ppl got rekt it's mind blowing. Backup your keys and double check them once in a while. Some ppl just have to learn the lesson hard way.

Yea had something similar happen to me. Have to be prepare at all times man. Backup 2FA and all your 2FA devices.

That's the problem with Google authenticator, with authy, you have the option to restore your accounts when you change your device.

I'd really appreciate you disabling my 2FA so I can get back into my account. It's obvious to me and to you as well that I did not back up all my recovery keys at this point.
However, I can prove beyond reasonable doubt that I'm Savoy and that is my account.

It'd be really appreciated to be a given a chance to get back into my account instead of making a new account and starting from 0.
