Got a new budget mechanical keyboard.

I probably haven't had a true mechanical keyboard since I used an old Model M on the home computer as a kid.

I really like it. I got this budget keyboard. If you like blue clicky switches, it's definitely a great choice.

I don't think it's hotswapped but the keyboard does have antighosting. I don't think the mouse does though.

It's full RGB with a bunch of programmable options.

Post your mechanical keyboards/builds you have done.

I've been using the 2016 Razer Blackwidow keyboard for a few years now and I really love it, no complaints so far. Great for typing and great for gaming.

I had that one for years, I just bought the steelseries apex pro with omni point switches.

It looks, feels, and sounds amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Wow that thing looks incredible. You prefer it over the Blackwidow? Will definitely be adding this to my wish list for the future...

I used to think I would never switch off of the blackwidow.

Now I could never go back. It is 10x better. Worth the money.

What do you like better about it specifically, would you say?

Feels much nicer, sounds much better. Not to mention, you can adjust the sensitivity of each individual key press. For instance, level 10 sensitivity would be you have to press down pretty hard for it to be received. Level 1 very lightly of course. It’s pretty awesome.

Oh wow, that's pretty interesting.

Here I am, content with my clicky clacky cheap blue switches.

Have you ever thought of doing your own keyboard build?

I got the Havit kit for my Mrs, she's really happy with it. The only thing I don't like is the high lift off point with the mouse, never found a way to turn it down.

Just watched the video: I'm not sure I agree with some of the things he was saying. The keyboard doesn't flex nearly as bad as he made out and the mouse is incredibly accurate, what he was saying about not being able to get used to it was crap. It's a mouse, they aren't difficult to use.
aint my sig design skills sick?

What do you mean by the liftoff point.

The selling point is for sure the keyboard. The mouse is kind of shitty in most people's review opinions. I don't really care though. I'm happy with it. Before this I was using an even shittier, more budget friendly set up.

When I did my PC build. I was on a shoe string budget and didn't really allot anything extra for a mouse and keyboard. I got some $20 set up. Lol. It lasted a year and a half or more. Finally I decided to get something that was still budget, but at least respected/liked within the budget range.

For me, it's as nice as some of the more expensive Corsairs/Redragon keyboards on the market. The switches are for sure clicky lol.

What do you have for yourself?

Having to lift the mouse quite high from the mousepad in order to not have it register input. I use a Logitech G703 which has a low liftoff point, great for when I need to make quick consecutive sweeps.

Oh interesting. I have my DPI turned up so I never lift it off of the table.

Lol you're actually right. I haven't re-watched it since I bought the keyboard.

I watched multiple video reviews on it. I just threw his up there but his is the most critical of it by far. He still ends up recommending it I guess.

I'll put a different video up there. I felt he was hypercritical. I guess some people are just like that.
