Marketplace Default Sort by Creation Date

This is an important change to all Marketplace threads.

I have changed the default sort order to thread Creation Date. What this means is that you can't bump a thread with a post.

If you wish to bump your thread in Marketplace you must use Stanley Bumps.

It is the UP arrow icon on the top right of your threads first post next to the green rocket. Stanley Bumps cost Bytes. I am adjusting the Stanley Bump for Bytes pricing.

Vendors = 100 Bytes 50 Bytes 50 Bytes
Uber 100 Bytes
Everyone Else = 150 Bytes

This was done to stop cold all the Low Quality bumps in the Marketplace and to encourage earning and spending of Bytes.

Please note that after you Bump with Stanley in the thread it will appear that the thread creation date has not changed, that's because it is displaying the date from the posts table. But the threads table is updated which is where the sort query comes from. It may effect some search features but nothing should break, please report to me any unexpected behavior or bugs.

FYI, buy a Paid Sticky if you want to have your thread up.

Thank you.

EDIT: Important notice, Stanley won't post anymore in the Marketplace. Your thread will be bumped without the Stanley post.
Does this also bring back the ability to report a thread after 48 hours that has been locked due to the creation date being reset? I noticed you mentioned the reset in convo's but was unsure of how other features that become locked due to a thread being open for a certain amount of time behave on creation date reset.

Reports are per post and uses that date.

Gotcha, thanks! Great idea. Interesting to see how this will change the way sellers market and advertise their products or services with there now being a "cost" involved. Byte sellers may see a larger number of traffic now from this as well.

To be honest it should use last post date and time (excluding OP)

People will just make fake accounts or ask their friends to make a reply. That happens now. This 100% stops all attempts to Low Quality bump.

Absolutely agree. I guess this was long due. and if you found it worthy of giving it a shot. how about offering a one-day bytes sale every month for like 50% discount for all members to be used for bumping threads and buying awards and such stuff? I know its probably not that important but it just crossed my mind.

I could potentially do a Scratchcard sale again.
Great change. It's probably been asked a lot, but I'd love it if HF had an ebooks section so I could find actual products in the premium seller's marketplace instead of the crowded MAKE $10K PER SECOND AUTOPILOT INSTANT SETUP FOR ONLY $20 100% LEGAL!

Hate to be that guy but isn't it slightly unfair?

If a person has been providing a service for years now, wouldn't they be forced to use Stanley to stay relevant in a given section although they could be more vouched/trusted than anyone in that section?

I have my fair-share of warnings because of my occasionally lazy bumps. so lately I would take couple of minutes to write something meaningful to my service for a bump but with this, there's no option, it's either pay up or no one will find your threads.

I'm not entirely sure this is working, I decided to check it out and bump my thread with Stanley, but it's still on second page here? Unless I'm mis-understanding the purpose/how this is meant to function.

Thank you for releasing such High Quality feature, in order to decrease more low quality topics.

Nice one!

Omni I would like to give you other suggestion that people are not allowed to close and open threads multiple times.
Reason for that is that scammers will unlock thread for a minute, make bump and locked it again, would be great that there is delay (24h or so), or that you are allowed to open/close thread just few times.
So even if someone else is posting on thread other than OP lets say any potential buyers asking queries or contracted vouches etc., it won’t bump the thread? If thats the case then its a bit harsh. I think if you restrict it only for the OP posts then it would be more appropriate.
I will NEVER DM you first on Telegram/Discord

Always confirm you are talking with me on site using PM. Always use contract. I do not do currency exchange/gift cards/AGC.
