Oh.
I haven’t really noticed it that much to be honest since the stanley bumps. If it is happening that much that it outweighs the usefulness of non-friendly bumps then its a good change I guess.
I still think non-OP or atleast contracted posts should be able to bump. I’m all for more bytes eco but this will definitely increase byte’s expenditure to a significant level.
I will NEVER DM you first on Telegram/Discord
Always confirm you are talking with me on site using PM. Always use contract. I do not do currency exchange/gift cards/AGC.
Mother says using Stanley Bumps will make me go blind.

As the other member said, this is long due but hey, now it's here I hope I won't see those pretentious posts just to bump their thread.
This is great to force the use of bytes. Very smart move, Admin.
I think this is a great idea. I see A LOT of pointless posts with the intention of bumping threads. This way, people will be forced to post meaningful updates/news/whatever on their sales threads while being forced to use bytes (increases the value?)
okay , so i guess we need to buy more bytes then .
sh*t i gambled all my bytes =(
It does feel weird seeing active sales thread that were created long time ago be buried with other inactive threads from years ago. As a buyer, all it makes me do it change the Sort By from "Creation Time" to "Last Post" so there's still benefit for sellers to keep bumping.

Stanley no longer posts in Marketplace threads. LQP by OP is risking a warning for the seller which restricts their account or even face a ban. There is no incentive for them to bump a thread now with a post.
nice move .. no silly bump no more
Is it possible to allow everyone to get a free bump every 48 hours or 24 hours? The paid bumps can be done for 6 Hour Bump / 12 Hour Bump. 6 Hour bump more expensive than the 12 hour bump, but making the whole thing paid with no way to get it for free will overall impact the marketplace IMO.

You can easily earn a free bump everyday. Just make posts in the Lounge and build up your Bytes through activity. That's 100% FREE.

Taken from the Help Docs, the amount of bytes earned is this:
1 βytes Per Reply
10 βytes Per New Thread
0 βytes Per Character
.5 Earned βytes For Thread Starter On Each Reply
1 βytes Default On Signup
2 βytes Per Poll Creation
1 βytes Per Poll Vote
0 Min Characters Required
I don't understand how you expect the average end user to post that many posts or threads in order to suffice a 200 byte bump for their marketplace thread. All this is going to do is create a monopoly on people purchasing bytes and the same 10 threads will constantly just get bumped by those users. While the rest of the users will suffer. This will just overall impact the activity of the Marketplace. Do as you wish, your decision is final at the end of the day but not giving reasonable means for regular members to get their marketplace threads bumped without spending 2 hours a day making LQP posts to 'earn' 200 bytes or buying it then there is no reason to stay in HF's marketplace IMO. Time will tell though.

I would look at purchasing bytes to bump my threads as an investment for more sales.

Don't be a dick. Internal usage on HF, that includes bumps.

So this just feeds into my point. That's what's going to happen and the average end user will not buy bytes.
If the reason for this change is to bring activity in HF then buying bytes will not do that and not giving a realistic way for the end user to obtain the bytes will not do that either. All this is going to do is kill the marketplace except the few jerk circle vendors who will just hoard bytes and bump their threads.
I just reduced bump prices for Vendor to 50 and for Ub3r to 100 bytes. So that should satisfy some of you.
