Also not sure how using AI to determine people's ethnicities from their pictures and looking up all their jobs on Glassdoor to see how much they make a year, and a mass-messenger that lets you only message new matches or older existing matches separately isn't considered any sort of "smart" feature to you.

Look, the task you mentioned can be accomplished by using a sample of reference, for all the ethnicities; then using an algorithm loop capable of comparing any prompted imagine profile with the dataset saved inside its Database. If that mean using an AI engine, then any Software since MS-DOS would be an AI. In fact, in absolute terms it is: and you are right.
