I bought Sales Tags few times over the years but I didn't experience any significant traffic difference, that's why I did not renew them.
Anyway, if there was the option to buy them lifetime at $30, I'd get some for my threads.

The only discussion point that I feel I can add is limiting permanent tags to 1 per member.
This can maybe push the Sales Tags market without killing it. Otherwise after a seller gets 3-4 of them for his top products, there would be no more recurring payments of that kind for the site.
