Still having my SUI, but there are some things that makes me doubt about the future of it.

- CTO & Co-Founder Sam Blackshear left Mysten Labs to join Anthropic. Very talented guy.
- All earn dApps got its APR reduced, apparently the high % was because Sui Foundation Incentives played an important role there.

Would love to have some good news about it. Any ETA on hashi? I liked the idea but still on testnet

yeah I've never used phantom for sui, only slush. But still I'm sure they had their public and ending SUI support doesn't seems like the best news.

$65k Bitcoin is the price I'm watching. If we hold above it through October, I'm bullish. If we fall below it, it'll be a rough winter.

On the topic of Sui. Basecamp is ~33 days away. I'd expect news to slow a bit as they hold on to major announcements to share at Basecamp. October 7-8 will reveal Sui's roadmap going into 2027.

Sam was 50% of the reason I came to Sui, Kostas was the other 50%. While sad, I don't view the Sam news as terrible. Sam's major focus was Move, he's the inventor of the language and most of his focus was on Move its self. Move has matured and is in a very good space now, it doesn't need a lot of attention anymore, and over the last year, Sam has increasingly been advising on non-Move related workstreams, which he probably cares about far less than Move. With not a lot of work that he's passionate about left (Not that he's not passionate about Sui, just less so about non-Move related Sui work), it makes sense for him to move into a frontier landscape where he can be excited about what he's doing again. He's still forming a Move Foundation and will be maintaining and advancing Move, he'll still act as an advisor for Mysten Labs, he just gets to jump back into the trenches and get his hands dirty again at Anthropic. Sam helping pave the path between future Sui+Anthropic synergies isn't nothing either.

Incentives shifted and redistributed, they didn't get scaled back. Apps that weren't producing volume or growing their userbases were deprioritized for those that were. Growth is now a major requirement towards incentives. Those who lost them can re-earn them by showing progress. You'll continue to see shifts every 2 weeks while a good balance is found. You can still earn 10% APY on your stables on Current w/ a very very low risk, or 30-40% on USDC on Aftermath at a medium risk (Perps vault where your funds are used for market making). I've personally been in the Aftermath vault for a few weeks and have earned on average about 42% APY on the funds I've had in there for this duration.

Why would I be jealous? Your risk management is terrible, not sustainable in the long run. Give it a couple of months, and you will be whining again.
