I am searching for a tutorial on how to activate the built-in administrator account for a Windows 8 computer. I do not have administrative access myself (I locked myself out) and any solution involving booting doesn't work (for some reason it always says something like "boot drive failed", probably due to a security measure). Is it possible to do so, without any external programs?

You have to pay for the original program, but there are plenty of ways to get it free. ;)
