"You don't have access" Harddrive

Hello,
I have recently upgraded my PC and booted onto a SSD. My question for you all is, how can I access my old files? My computer is denying me access to the users folder within the hard drive, however I can access everything else? Is there a way round this? I need that data.

Hmm it's odd that you can't access it just by plugging it up. I would look into a program called "Hirens" there are a lot of features on it for recovering/accessing data from hard drives. I haven't used it much, but my co worker uses it all the time on hard drives. Just do a few quick google searches on it and I'm sure you'll find some good info. Best of luck man!
Is it just that NTFS file permissions that are complaining? If so, you need to allow your current account full rights. Do: Folder > Properties > Security tab. Edit > Add > Enter your user > Allow full control of the root user folder.

Note, often you need to tick the option to replace child object permissions to apply the same permissions to sub directories and files.
