This came to me last night as a fun idea for HF.

I make a thread in Lounge, similar to the DCI. We'll call it the "Winner's Circle" for now. Every 30 minutes I'll run a task that chooses an online member to win 100 Bytes, they will get a PM and have 5 minutes to post in the Winner's Circle thread to get their 100 Bytes. If the Bytes aren't collected then Stanley will post in the thread that the person is a loser. This goes on 24/7.

That's the premise of my idea, what do you think? Any suggestions or feedback?

btw: Concept is to keep people online and reward them for it.

Seems like HF's offshoots just got seized by an international operation called Operation Talent. That includes Nulled, Cracked, and Sellix.

These competitors were started many years ago by former HF members who mimicked much of what I've done but their sites were definitely darker in nature. I knew of their existence of course but I don't really spend time on other forums. I know that they were indeed popular but they also crossed a lot of legal lines that eventually was going to catch up with them. That included Sellix and the escrow of payments plus they allowed cracks and combo lists on the site. Stuff people want on HF but stuff that would also get us shut down and me in legal trouble.

It was just a matter of time before they got taken down. HF was here before them and HF is still here after them.

I am hopeful that members who left HF for darker corners of the internet might return. To make that easier for them, I'm going to lower Account Recovery fee to $10 for 30 days and offer Perm L33t only $20.

I probably shouldn't be so gleeful about this news but competing sites that just mimic what I've done only dilutes my work and credit. So many people just don't realize how unique HF is, especially when similar sites pop up and time goes on. But rest assured, we're the original and everyone is a copycat.
