As for today I have been provisioned a new dedicated server. The intent is to move HF onto this server within 3-6 months. The reason for the long timeframe is because HF currently runs on old technology and our entire backend has to be updated. For example we're on a 7.x PHP which is past EOL and I know for a fact that HF will break updating to 8.3 (latest PHP). Also our NodeJS is outdated and my guess is that an update will break some of those components (convo and socket).
I will need months to setup the server and it's going to be a huge workload which I plan to spread out until I am comfortable that a move will appear seamless to members.
Some of the steps I am taking.
1. Setup server security.
2. Install Control Panel (makes my life easier)
3. Setup a dummy test domain.
4. Backup HF and move to test domain.
5. Fix all the broken parts.
6. Switch the test domain for HF domain and go live.
Seems simple enough when laid out like that but trust me, lots and lots of work. That's just a breakdown but there are a hundreds of little details in each of those. The biggest challenge will actually be the NodeJS stuff for me since JS is not a language I'm comfortable with. I am hoping some AI assistance along with diligence will get me through it.
Overall this is very good news for HF. Once we are updated there are options for upgrading features on HF at my disposal. Currently I can't do too much because all the libraries and packages won't work on our older setup. Example is AI integrations.

GROUP THREAD PREFIX REMOVAL TOOL
Group owners were requesting that when a member is removed from their group that their thread lose the Group Prefix. After encountering some complications meeting that request, the decision to add a tool into the GroupCP for the owners to enter a TID (Thread ID) which will reset/empty the threads prefix was implemented to the site.
