How long you've been into Anime/Manga/Japanese culture in general and how did you come across it?

My love for anime started quite some time ago before I even really knew what it was. When I was younger I would rush home from school to catch Toonami to watch Gundam Wing, and DBZ. It wasn't until about 3 or 4 years ago that I started watching anime daily. A friend of mine kinda sat me down and forced me to watch an anime called Desert Punk and from their I just started rolling. As far as being into to Japanese culture apart from my love for Anime, and the music I don't really get much into the culture itself.

Name two of your favorite Anime/Manga/Visual Novel/Light Novel and why you like them

Anything from the Monogatari Series

This series is my all time favorite series. There are a few reasons why. First is the animation style itself. While to some it may seem a little strange I find it extremely unique. It has an excellent story in my opinion(with a hint of fan service.....ok a whole season of fan service). And lastly it is just a complete mindfuck of a series.

Log Horizon

I watched Sword Art Online and was like meh this is a decent series but it is more of a love story and doesn't really draw out that inner gamer in me. In comes Log Horizon. This game goes hard on the MMO seen and draws out the little fucking gaming nerd boy that I am. So hyped for season 3 it isn't even funny.

What guarantees your activity in our group as time goes on?

As long as I have people to talk to about what I am currently watching, or what I have watched in the past. And people to give me solid recommendations on what to watch next my activity will be there.

What are your interest in Japanese culture?

Honestly apart from music, and anime I really don't have much interest in it. I like to eat sushi on my lunch break from work and have a nice Ramune with it. Other than that ehh.

What do you expect from us?

Pretty much I expect to come into a welcoming group with like minded people and be able to talk to everyone about what I am watching, what I plan to watch, and what they think I should watch.

What do you think we expect from you?

Obviously if I was accepted you would expect activity out of me. And for me to contribute to discussions wherever they are being held.

Gonna go ahead and add this on to here. I am well aware that I do not meet the requirements for post in the anime section. I am recently coming back to the forum after a period of very spotty activity. So if me not having the recommended amount of post knocks me out that is cool. I will just be active in that section and reapply in the future.

Can't rememeber actually but it's more then 10 year, came across via Cartoons. 90% of my favourite cartoons are made in Japan.

Doraemon
Shin Chan
Dragon ball z
Naruto
& Some more.

Because they made my childhood Awesome.

How long you've been into Anime/Manga/Japanese culture in general and how did you come across it?
I've been into anime for about 3 years, starting off with One Piece. Only for the past half year or so have I been into Japanese culture itself, it just appealed to me naturally over time.

Name two of your favorite Anime/Manga/Visual Novel/Light Novel and why you like them
Monogatari Series - Very engaging story despite all of its exposition, does a great job keeping everything interesting with the visuals.
Psycho-Pass - Stunning visuals with a great sci-fi story/universe on top of everything.

What guarantees your activity in our group as time goes on?
I visit HF on a daily basis, and am usually available outside of the forums as well.

What are your interest in Japanese culture?
Lots of things, from their language, streets, culture and way of life. After visiting Japan about a month ago, I have to say that it never ceases to fascinate me.

What do you expect from us?
Nothing more than a community of otaku's.

What do you think we expect from you?
Nothing more than being an avid otaku.
