Marketplace Sort Order

I just had a discussion with a member who missed the old days of bumping. He's not the first to complain about how our Marketplace listing is by Thread Creation date. The original change got rid of LQP bumps, friend bumps (groups were doing this), and fake accounts by sellers. It also forced usage of Bytes for Stanley Bumps which was very efficient.

But in good-faith after discussions with the member I'm open to seeing how reversing the change would be seen by the community and if the old bad-habits will return.

Back then I don't believe we had any official bump policy but generally speaking the Staff told sellers not more than once in a 24 hour period and to try to add something of quality to the post and not just "bump" or some other LQ post. For now I suppose that's once again how we'll start off.

As always I'm happy to review policies on HF and see if adjustments improve the community experience.

Hope you enjoy and thank you.
It actually doesn't matter.

Change happened for a reason and the community should agree to whatever change you do.

Yeah, while speaking with this member I really highlighted why the change was made but in an effort to be objective about it I'm altering it. It's very easy for me to go back to the Thread Creation default. When I initially did it I had to make adjustments to how Bytes for Bumps worked. Seeing the code I did a good job at making it easy to go back and forth now. Bytes for Bumps will work as intended either way.
If there is a certain set of rules staff member suggests and you agree with towards bumping a post IE: Currency Exchange then please let me and others with services know what that policy will be

If it went back to old days, I am sure there is lot more work staff would need to do to adress the low/fake post bumping. I feel the changes done were justified & system is working fine as it is.
I will NEVER DM you first on Telegram/Discord

Always confirm you are talking with me on site using PM. Always use contract. I do not do currency exchange/gift cards/AGC.

Agreed. It worked really well. Eliminated bumps as a problem entirely. But not everyone is happy about that. Some consider it engagement and activity.

Well then all we can hope is people don't start spamming their threads and become LQ.

I don’t understand what pushed him to ask for that, or what he is objecting to in general. In any case, if your product is truly important, you won’t need to bump it to the top for members to see it.
Limited offer

Signature space ... 1k bytes per week
great change, would have loved it even better if stanley bump would have remained silent like before with no post.

If the staff has proposed a specific set of rules for bumping posts—such as in the Currency Exchange section—and you are in agreement, please inform me and other service providers of the finalized policy.

Have you accidentally signed into your alt account?
tbf the bump coins only system is pretty pay2win. You are always forced to buy bytes cuz making 50 posts or 100 posts or whatever it is every single day to have enough bump coins for 1 bump doesn't make sense, that in itself results in lqp's, more then just allowing 1 bump post.

It was either doing that or making $10 bitcoin transactions to buy bytes, which in itself is very annoying to do, which results in people just not giving afak to do so, especially for new members that was confusing i can imagine.

So i see this as a positive change for sure.
