I use MSE and have used Avira in the past. Both are excellant programs. MSE offers more than just AV protection. That is why i went with MSE. It works for me.

A good anti-virus program will not only have a high rate of detection but it will also scan for infections in a decent time frame. A high quality product can perform this task in half the time of a lesser one.
