Is this a good measure for e-mail privacy?

So I run a small business, I run a page and have a public e-mail (a Gmail one) so my customers can contact me. One of my biggest fears is mine, my workers and my clients privacy and security. So to avoid mass mailing, list linking, zip bombing (en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Email_bomb), and compromising sensible information, I've decided to create a private mail account that only me and my employees use and know about. All of the mails that I receive on the public account, are going to be forwarded to my private one, so if the public e-mail is attacked, I can just simply delete it and create another one, and since i have all the important information, and I'm subscribed with my private email to all the services that I use for my business, I won't lose all of that.

Is this a good implementation? How can I reinforce the security of my e-mail? Can you tell me another measures?
Thanks.
If you have a TLD> try google apps. it's a paid subscription and should work just fine considering the security. forwarding isn't really a good idea in my opinion. its full of hassle. just use google subscription and you will do just fine.

Depends on your set up...

If you are wanting to keep internal emails private then using protonmail to protonmail would keep things encrypted. Using a gmail for public email will leave your security in Googles hands... they might be sucking you dry with passive data collection but tend to keep their users conveniently securely connected to one another.
