HTML is pretty easy... It's not really cosidered a language... I suggest you to try PHP and in six month you can learn a lot!

It's not a full blown language, it's a markup language.
Saying HTML is a language is like saying Microsoft word is a language as it's based of markup.

I think what you mean to say is it's not a programming language. It's still a full blown language. It's not like saying that MS word is a language because MS Word isn't a language it's a writing environment.. It would be like me saying notepad++ is a language.

Should take you a week to get comfortable with HTML (and CSS ;) ). You should spend the rest of those 6 months learning javascript and php. They all go well together and you'll need them all eventually anyway.
