Best way to name your programs?

Look up statistics on most appealing or used words and blend them together to make a compound word or blend them together.
For some reason you have to have a "cute" prefix like adding a Y to the end of a name or something.

Words from other very unknown languages work well.

Please no one use this suggestion it scares me. I don't want more apps called titsy or those stupid names. No offense Blue but I just hate those types of names

I agree, it's a "little" too over used, but I do agree that it should either be an abstract word, a foreign word or a compound word with a suffix.
Well for JavaScript it would be easy. Just think of some object on your desk or something and add .js and for your website add .io

Example:
Cup.js
Drinks.js

Maybe you can do something like that in Java ? xD
What about Napiler? :)

You can just use: ".Jar of dirt programming".

For Java: DrinkACupOf.java
Or you can have something related to coffee.

Netbeans > Internet > Coffee Beans.

.jar of dirt.jar

that's why that's a bad idea

No, just use "dirt.jar" and it is automatically inferred that the jar contains dirt. Thus, it is a jar of dirt.
My suggestions: Java-The-Hut, JSpear.

I personally like the name JSpear, but that's up to you to decide.
I always use the github nameing featuer, keep refreshing until I see one that looks good.
