That thing is simply to old and outdated and odd to invest any money into.
Attempts to do such should result in a hit with aforementioned brick.

If you want to put down money on anything, it should be a on complete new system.

The socket type for the AMD E-300 mobile series is BGA413. BGA stands for ball grid array, which are soldered to the motherboard, which you can't upgrade. According to here, given the mobo model from speccy, it does say that is indeed soldered down.

You can add an SSD and it will help with performance. Moreover, an SSD is good value as it is transferable to your next system. But I would not invest into the hardware that is not going into your next system. Better to save and invest that instead.
