Logitech G15 ingame overclocking

Hey HF!

I own a Logitech G15 keyboard, which has a nifty little LCD screen that can show ingame stats. Unfortunately not many new games support it.

Many people use LCDStudio to show actual PC information on the LCD screen. On my PC, every 10 minutes the app throws an error, that's why I decided to make my own.

Showing the info on-screen was easy once I found out how to send data to the LCD screen. I decided to take it 1 step further, ingame overclocking!
MSI afterburner had to run in the background anyways, why not use it to overclock!

Here's a video of the finished app:

NOTE: MSI AFTERBURNER HAS TO BE RUNNING OR THE APP WILL CRASH!
I've experienced some trouble with logitech's LCD manager too, if you don't see anything on the LCD screen, check out those settings.
I have my own G15 and this is awesome. I'll take a look. Thanks.

Shame I dont have a G15 keyboard. :(

It's a shame logitech doesn't make these anymore. What do I do if mine breaks? It's really the most awesome keyboard ever, not only because it's got an LCD screen, but it's got illuminated keys and it's a dream to type on 🙂

Thanks.
Does any of you have an idea of features I can add?
I'm always bored once I finish a project 😁
Nifty, great job. I probably would have had a hard time doing that.

I honestly have no idea, but I think it's able to send to other devices as well.
Try it, and see if it works :/
^^^from what i see in the src its easy to change it to ....

It's pretty easy to change it for a G19, although the whole menu will look fucked up because it's black & white only, and the G15's resolution is only 160x43. Replace things like "LGLCD_DEVICE_BW" with "LGLCD_DEVICE_QVGA" and it might even work. Perhaps it needs some additional work though.

This app is for overclocking your GPU. Maybe I had to mention that in my topicstart...
For getting the GPU's temperature and clock speeds, MSI afterburner had to run in the background anyways. This app just connects to afterburner's shared memory to control the clock speeds.
By the way, CPU overclocking is perfectly possible using tools similar to MSI afterburner. It'd need more dll's and fiddling, so I decided not to put it into this app.

I have based the connection part of my code on some example I have found on the internet. It had support for G15 and G19 keyboards, but since I don't own a G19 I removed that code. If you google a bit you might find out the code, and fix my program so it works for your keyboard as well...🙂
Yeah I have a G15 lets try it. Thx for this one.

For CPU's, you're totally right. But I don't think you can overclock GPU's without the PC actually running on windows (or linux) because you need drivers to control the clock speeds.
is this possible with the g19? Thanks in advice

It's possible, although I don't own a G19 so I removed the code from my project. It's possible to realise the same thing though, using some minor changes to the code (the .dll I use supports both the G15 and G19, possibly other Logitech LCD keyboards as well). I hope this helped 🤝

Nice, I hope it's working for you... I feel kind of stupid removing the G19 code... I didn't expect so many people would try it out... (en ja 👍)
