You guys got trolled. Not saying this isn't possible. I goggled to try and see about this language and found nothing. Your comment isn't true. Just because something is binary dosen't mean every machine understands that binary code that is why binary for a Intel based system can't be runned in a Arm based computer system. I knew this was fake at the start but had to google to make sure before posting. Since I know in theory this is possible. Yet, never heard paint can do this and so far never seen any documentation online. (Mar 26, 2012 11:12 PM)tinkerman2000 Wrote: No this isn't real. You guys got trolled. It's all up to how you interpret that data. Now while this may actually be fake (I have no idea), it is absolutely possible to do. I made a language that made use of bitmap images ages ago, just for a bit of fun. (Mar 26, 2012 11:38 PM)bottomy Wrote: I think their point was that you could make a language out of any data. It's all up to how you interpret that data. yes, that was my point. I just wanted to correct anyone that thinks if you have something in binary it automatically means all programs or even the computer machine itself will understand it. Since I played around building my own circuits and even my own 4-bit cpu and 32bit cpu. I can say that I understand the basic concepts of a computer system. I got many books on the subject and topic. So yes, you make your own language or even a structure of data of a file. like for example. I seen many video games use the .dat to indicate it's a data file. however just because all games that I seen uses a .dat dosen't mean that those .dat files structures are the exact same structure for all games. people quickly would think if it's a .dat file for like these 6 games then these 6 games can use these files interchangeability. So for those 6 games using .dat files it all boils down to interpertation. They can be all 6 different types or structured .dat files but if all the games can understand each type or kind of structure of their own .dat file then yes each of those 6 games can run each others files... yet if it only knows about their own structure then no they can't run each others files. I am just trying to not let people get mislead to think that if the file is a .bin file you can run this file on any system or even put it on a smart card chip. In theory you can but the data may not be understood by the system and therefor won't work or run properly. So, yes like I said in my previous post that this isn't impossible. I am sure anyone here can make something similar if they wanted too. It's possible but from what I see and hear. I never seen anything on the net that indicates or provides facts towards that would support his videos information is legit. bottomy: you understood my posting. I hope I didn't misled or confused anyone. Yet, that is why I said this is fake and most likely a person trolling everyone. Yet, not doubting that it's not possible. since I know it can be achieved. Your Title says Paint as first programming language. I watched the video. There are other videos on the net showing using paint you can easily write python code by using colors. Those were proven to be fake. So I ask you this question how exactly is he taking colors in paint and converting them to c++. Ya, I know it's in C++ but what is that stuff at the start? If you called me an idiot. You should have something to back it up with. So I assume you can do this and you understand how it works 100%. from what I see he might be using white space programming language. Also you can't directly just paint a bitmap and then save it and it automatically is converted into C++ source code. Something in between has to translate the paint bitmap to convert that bitmap data into a c++ source code file. whitespace programming language look it up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_...anguage%29 I shared my opinion and thoughts about the subject. I would say it be stupid of you to call someone that you don't even know an idiot. Your title of the thread says paint beginners programming language. From your comment yous saying that the guy just drew a bitmap and it automatically magically turned that bitmap into a c++ source file creating the application of hello world to be printed to screen. I ask you how is it done and notice how this video dosen't at all show the button task bar. So if this was legit he would have a full screen shot. Why not show the bottom of the screen. if he is using whitespace programming language then what your saying isn't true. That means he would create the bitmap in a way that whitespace programming would understand... then convert the bitmap into c++ source. This is the only thing I can think of. not saying I am write. I am just saying that so far OP and that blog isn't exactly explaining how this guy did this. Plus dosen't show the whole screen. Doesn't show the bottom part of the screen to show him opening the file. I am just saying he might be using a spin off from whitespace programming language. However, I can't confirm that. Just saying videos like these that show you something and then after can't full explain it in terms that makes it sense able. Actually as long as you can save the image as pure (so not a specific format, since that will usually contain other data) uncompressed bitmap data from whatever image editor you're using. Then you could pick the colours whose bytes corresponds to ascii characters. The title of this thread is paint = programming language. when I got in I just saw the video showing paint colors = C++. that is all I saw. Right now this isn't the only website that is talking about it. Many other websites for programming are talking about it and many programmers are talking about it. Most even themselves said this is fake. The video is basically saying that with paint you can code in C++ by just using paint. So far never seen the code actually get compiled by C++. Normally pixels are stored "upside-down" with respect to normal image raster scan order, starting in the lower left corner, going from left to right, and then row by row from the bottom to the top of the image.[1] I never said it's not due able. Can you show us it being compiled by C++ or c??? The video is basically saying paint = C++ or C. What your saying is paint = ASCII characters. My question would be how do you get paint to make a c++ source code file and then compile it? (Mar 27, 2012 06:40 AM)0xDEADDEAD Wrote: Yeah it doesnt directly compile but if you remove the BMP headers then it should. The C++ part... that is what I was saying. That paint equals C++. I understand what your saying. You can basically convert the paint to ASCII characters which can make up a text file or a C++ file etc. The video and this thread is basically hinting that paint equals a programming language. Like paint can be used as a programming language. The thread title is kinda misleading. The video itself says that it's C++. What I am saying is would this compile into a C++ compiler?? I shared my opinion that it's fake. I never said it wasn't possible to due. I just thought the video itself was fake. The way he displayed it not showing the bottom part of the screen. The he says it's c++. yet didn't show it being compiled. That is why I thought it was fake. I am not the only one a few here thought it was fake. Google around and you can find many programmers calling it fake. So I just shared my opinion and then get attacked for sharing my opinion. I would like to see it get compiled in a C++ compiler to satisfy any doubt. Like I said before I never doubted that you can't do such a thing. Buggy understood what I was saying before. I never did say that it's fake because this can't happen. I assumed it was fake due to how the video was created. Seem like he was hiding different areas of the screen. (Mar 27, 2012 06:43 AM)0xDEADDEAD Wrote: Paint always includes that header but you can convert this BMP to a compilable C++ source file just by removing the header (BM- ---> last NUL byte) Then why am I thinking that the video and this thread is about paint being C++??? From what I understand this thread is about paint= c++ and if it is true then the code should be compiler with a C++ compiler. I am just trying to get you to understand where my posts were coming from. Maybe I misunderstood the video or this thread. I can only say that this thread was misleading. It shouldn't have said paint as first programming language. When I first saw it I thought it meant paint being a programming language a full blown language. The watched the video. (Mar 27, 2012 06:52 AM)0xDEADDEAD Wrote: I understand what you mean and maybe this thread title is misleading BUT on that video he nowhere executes or compiles that bmp with C++ code. So I wouldnt call the video fake. yes, I understand and it was my mistake to say it. What I thought he was claiming that with paint you can write a full blown C++ program by using paint. that is why I wanted to see the code to be complied in a C++ compiler. the mistake was due to the thread title and from others talking. I understood that the guy is claiming that you can write C++ programs via paint. So that is why I said that and yes, your right. My bad.. |
