Remember, if you have anything to add such as good books, another e-book thread, a direct link to some ebooks (will credit in post), a website that teaches C/C++, etc just tell me in a PM and I will add it.

well, if you PM omni and told him to stick this thread on the top, it would be better - all members and visitors can see it, and everyone want to add somethin PM you and edit the thread

Thanks for your efforts, btw i am installing now MSVC express 2010 should i install also microsoft SQL ?

Thanks

As for SQL, if you work with databases then you'll use it probably, otherwise you can skip it.

well, i am new alittle bit to C++ world now, so i think i'll skip it and install it later
can you please change your avatar, it's scary !! :)

Now lets get back on topic. Anyone have suggestions for additions?

thanks it's better :biggrin, btw if you make SDK toturial for windows applications.. it would be better

I'm learning it at the moment, so I might be able to make a guide in the future if needed. However, it might be awhile since I'm just now getting the basics of the library.

Also, if you want to learn SDL as well and don't want to wait for a guide, there is an amazing step-by-step tutorial here:

no, SDK = Microsoft Software Development Kits, it used for making windows apps by MSVC, hope someone post a good tuturial about that!
