Don't Trim [CODE] Content

I think that there shouldn't be trimming in content between the code tags.

This is a problem when writing code with indentation:

For example:
Code
while (true) {
    if (something) {
  doSomething();
  if (!something) {
    doSomethingElse();
  }
    }
}

Also with numbers in code, for example 55/55/55 (ignore the /'s, they are there to stop it from formatting) turns into 55
Totally support this idea. it gets annoying sometimes if you have repeating characters and it formats it. I hate it.
Thanks for your support guys, I hope to see this implemented in the forum :-P
Well... I'm against this.
What about when people date things? I constantly date activity checks/reviews for Rhythm, threads when I post my articles for the news in Writers, etc.

What does that have to do with the white-space/repeat-character trimming?
If anything, this would solve a lot of problems that users are having.

Have my support. I have to paste my code into my Pastebin instead so it's formatted correctly.

That has nothing with formatting the things in the code tags. The code tag is for codes and nothing else.

I agree with this and whitespace is important to some languages, especially Python.

Another thing to do it then. Make code tags not count towards the character counting in posts. That way there isn't too much it can be abused with ^_^

What are some abuses people could do?

Just wondering, how could it be abused?
I can only thing of two things:
1. People using that to get past the 35 character requirement.
2. People spamming the hell out of characters within the code area.
