I do notice the soundtrack when it's good, like during an epic fight scene in Fate/Zero or a sad moment in Clannad, but it doesn't make a huge difference to me really.

Music makes everything better.
It is possible to use music to induce emotions (don't know if that's the right word). The music at the end of Code Geass R2 made me cry. T_T Spoiler (Click to View)
"I'd still watch a series even if the soundtrack consisted of cats fucking and car wrecks."
Because honestly, I don't have about the sound track. I have yet to run into anything out of my <30 series that turned me off to the point to where I couldn't watch it. The sound track is about as important as the intro is to me; if it's great- awesome! If it sucks- it doesn't matter. Best soundtrack was in Kanon 2006 in my opinion, after that I would have to say Fate/Zero. Clannad comes in fourth for me right behind Kimi Ni Todoke. |
