Try running something like Uninstaller from IOBit. Freeware to help remove registry items related to the software and a much more thorough removal tool.

Also, are you doing this with a disk/ISO or through CMD Line?

You should put an ISO on to a USB/DVD boot from that and try Upgrade from there. It should work but Windows won't like 1 program
