Do i need malwarebytes to remove malware? [ SOLVED ]

I use BitDefender as well (right now at least, testing it out)... I'd recommend you have Malwarebytes installed and just use the free version as a secondary scanner. Think of it this way, if something DID slip by your AntiVirus then it's nice to have something like MWB to be a secondary defense/scanning agent to verify your systems clean.

Now for the chrome! Run these programs to see if they will help clean up your chrome for any injections or poor quality/adware softwares...
Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
AdwCleaner (Click on Delete button when program loads)

Please update the post/thread if you have any further issues, questions or if this has been resolved. Thank you.
I have Avast AV running on my computer, however, I have a copy of MalwareBytes on my computer just in case it's needed. I mainly use Avast for real-time because of the shields it has. If I want to scan, I use Malwarebytes.
