Such a lot of information to go off of. Have fun.

Prove it to them, give them your number contact info and the host of the phone. If you didn't send/ have it then the phone company would know on their logs. They can see messages, SMS and MMS. If you saw it tell them you saw it and give the kids name whos phone had it. If you are saying you had nothing to do about it but knew about it and maybe told someone tell them that and you'll be good. Maybe a detention or suspension for a few days.
You don't have to talk. You have the right to remain silent. School cops can usually do whatever regular cops can do, and if they can't get it done they just contact the regular cops. Also some will BS you and say they have evidence of something they don't, do not be fooled.
Sometimes its best to be honest and talk though. Its really your call, it depends on the circumstance and what the police know. It involves many students, including a whole sports team. If this is all it is and you are not the "direct source", then why the fuck are you worried? Something like that is highly illegal, and you'll just look more suspicious if you don't say shit. This will help in your case. (Feb 12, 2014 07:10 PM)kyko Wrote: Never talk to the cops, get a lawyer, then talk to them. Yeah, lets waste money to get a lawyer when it's a crime that he says he didn't commit. Something like this is too easy to prove innocence if you know what you're doing. You can't choose who sends you something in a text unless you asked for it. You think you're smart. I'd take my chances instead of looking like a dumb shit and not speaking if I didn't do anything wrong. Just raises more suspicion and you're wasting time. Like I said, if they can't get it done - they usually contact the regular police. The only real difference is that the school/campus police have to abide by School policy's - which sometimes can completely ruin an investigation. I know this from first hand experience, I had to deal with them in High School for something sort of like OP's problem. |
