Thread Design - Color Dust |

I've seen your thread shop but I don't think that you've treated TheInspiredOne the way you should, and I do agree with TheInspiredOne: you're not ready. Act more professional to anyone and everyone, whether they are a customer, nice, or just plain rude.
Your work still needs more effort put into it. The arrows aren't even shaped correctly (many pixels where they shouldn't be/are supposed to be) and vertical alignment is off by a noticeable amount of pixels. The entire design style doesn't look more than a couple of boxes, some icons, and text thrown on to it. Reduce the size of the font and give more horizontal padding. Actually align the text and try and match both sides within at least a pixel difference. About your background of having 4(!) years of graphics experience, I've looked at some samples of your work and you still seem to be an amateur when it comes to thread designs and even graphics in general. You still haven't learned how to align elements and haven't learned the basics of design, whether it be a thread design, logos, or any other media. I hope this post won't offend you, being a little bit harsh, but if you do want to respond to me, try to be professional and accept it. I have multiple hobbies, but only one is my true passion -- it's not GFX. Ignoring how you just ignored my critique, calling me unprofessional about how I gave you tips on how to improve, and being ignorant on the clearly obvious.. Of course this is the template for your website; you've downloaded the site template (ahem, CC3 license attribution) and in turn you've decided to copy the basic design and take it. It's a free design, don't you think that designers should design their own web site? What did you do to make your resume look better? Copy designs? You're digging yourself a deeper hole, and you just ruined what you called yourself a "professional" in graphics. Clearly you can not handle critique and being called out for copying a design. This section is not for you, and it won't help your job either.
I really like the background :)
But I personally dont really like the hyper-clean style. I think it could be a bit more catchy / unique. The border looks good tho :) I just feel like ive seen it a few times before and was never really blown away when seeing this style. Very good quality and placement :) Consider making a transparent border |
