Check it out and let me know what I should change. I'm trying to decide if I should either make the text smaller in size or just change the font as a whole for the body text. I am also trying to decide if I should keep the "dropdown" base as is or add a stroke like the "dropdown" arrow has but I did test it out and it is a bit too distracting but then again I want to add some contrast between the two "sections".

Logo can be changed to anything and the design itself isn't specific to a niche so it's multi-purpose. And I made it so the coloring can be quickly change using an adjustment layer. Works well when I tested it out:

The colour combinations work, although the typography and boxes ruin this.

The current wall of justified text is intimidating and nobody will bother to read it.
Use a smaller point size.
Use align left.
Split the text into smaller paragraphs.
Remove the drop caps, they don't fit the style you're aiming for.
Perhaps use 2 columns or narrow the width of the thread.
Use horizontal space rather than a line to separate paragraphs.

The V shapes with circles cut out don't work
If you want to pursue this
Reduce the distance between boxes.
Make the angle more obtuse.
Remove the circles.
Remove the central down arrows.

The header looks out of place
Make the background shape larger.
Centralise the 3D text.
Don't use 3D text.

Try to look at some web designs in order to get a feel for spacing and typography. This will help you get a feel for how elements should scale against each other.

Pay attention to the type. The poor boxes and bad elements would, if consistent throughout, go unnoticed if the type was set in a correct way.

Keep trying with these and you will improve, perhaps start with web and print design and then funnel it down into making mere thread designs.
