Greetings contributors and lurkers of the White Hat Help section. It seems that more and more people are recommend MalwareBytes, which is totally fine, but the issue is - they are recommend it as an antivirus or they are recommend it at times that it is not needed to be using an anti-malware software. Specifically in threads where people are asking what antivirus application they should use, or something along the lines of that nature, they recommend MalwareBytes. MalwareBytes Anti-Malware is an anti-malware tool like the name suggests.

Please in the future do not recommend Malware-Bytes as an anti-virus when it is in fact not. As much as I love MB, it just isn't what it is for, they have their own uses. And while they are easily confused, and similar to some, they have differences and they need to be noted. If you plan on helping out here, keep this in mind.
Lots of love,
