I'm currently using the Airports internet, what if I do any type of illegal activity..? What would happen? Can they trace me still or will I remain anonymous.

Nah, I don't really think that you can get in trouble if you use a VPN.

They can find your physical IP-address (not the one you send out to the internet) and your MAC-Address.
MAC-addresses (Media Access Control) is an unique number given to each PC, it includes info about the hardware etc. but also used to communicate over Ethernet connections.
If they find your MAC (and you didn't spoofed it), they just find you. :)

Spoof your MAC-address (Physical IP changes together I think), and use Tor/Good VPN.
