[Question] Who feels that way about the Computing area ?

The problem is that those sections don't have anybody moderating them, including mentors. Mentors cannot handle the reports so they need to wait for staff to be on. They're likely at the bottom of the report list with all the rest of the newer reports on top. That would explain why they take so long to be handled.

It might be reasonably to allow more areas to be moderated by Mentors.

Computer Talk sections are the ones that requires the more moderating, and I'm only talking about these because I browse them often. Apparently, the *nix section is filled with questions related to Pentesting and Forensics too. Can't say anything about the situation of Hardware. Plus, I'm sure there's iOS related (100% related) threads in the OS X section.
Mentors probably should be given the ability to moderate those sections. It happens quite often where somebody is learning and believes a thread belongs in a place where it doesn't. It's not that they're intentionally posting it where it doesn't belong, it's just that they made a mistake.

It would be nice to see this section gain better moderation though since this is a technology related forum. Would look good to have that section in tip-top shape and moderated well. Man power is an issue but those reports do need to get dealt with eventually and it may even help to lighten the load on staff.

My mistake, I had been told that mentors did see reports.
I think you'd make a nice sectional moderator for certain areas of the Computing tab, but that's just me.

I browse the Computing related areas of the forum quite a lot and I agree, but this forum is so large that the Staff can't always get to it right away especially if it's getting buried by reports in forums like Beginner Hacking.

It might have been inaccurate or not. However some posts are just not dealt with.

For example in the *nix section a post that was reported :
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4410675

Is simply to advertise his addon to ClamAV. Does that really belong in.. any section at all ?

https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=3301324
This tutorial, I reported it a while ago, great starts with how to install BackTrack on a VM, the main tutorial is ettercap or something like that, really ? Belongs in the *nix section ?
How about we just make Aura Moderator over the staff area?

He basically own's that part of the forum anyway :/
I've never been in the section myself, but looking through the first few pages, I'd agree to allowing a trial moderator. But, unfortunately, with the sheer volume of individuals who frequent these forums you just can't expect perfect performance. I see the same shit in the Java section.
they should make u staff of the computer section >:D
