XHTML or HTML5?

I can't decide between the two. I want to build websites from scratch, so which should I go with? There are some differences, but I also want to learn to write deface pages and SQL Injections (other website/forum hacking methods).

I'm also going to eventually learn: CSS,JavaScript,PHP,MySQL; so I can build more nice looking and working websites/forums.

So this is a bit of a silly question. Just learn HTML5.

I won't need HTML5 than, XHTML will work just fine. Thanks for the advice though.
xHTML5 can be use to code websites right.LIke add pictures and videos and all that?
