When using @username, it could automatically link to UID, and then change username based on that when viewing post?

As has been the issue in the past, there are many people with invisible characters in their username. Many users would find themselves referencing somebody with one of those characters and being quite confused when the name would be linking to somebody completely different. I'd prefer that it be just UID as opposed to @username, kinda the way we have XMPP with our UIDs.
