Yeah.. but it doesn't even allow you to log into "hackforum.net", because once you hit log in it instantly redirects to the actual site (this) to login instead of on that site.

No, you misunderstood. If you click the login button on the main screen it redirects you to the hackforums.net log in. It redirects you before any info is entered etc

It's not a phising site, I'm pretty sure it's owned by Omni.

hackforums.com redirects you to hackforums.net instantly where as hackforum.net doesn't instantly redirect you. You have to click something before getting redirected. The variation may be the reason why someone might suspect it might be a phising site.
