Laptop battery is weak?

Hi there So my laptop's battery is becoming weak, I mean the battery discharges real fast. And I know that this happens when you let the laptop charging for too long, but it wasn't the case with me though. I always waited for the battery to get at 100% and then remove the charger, but I don't know how it all happened. It's an old laptop though, don't know if that would be the cause. But anyways is there any way I could fix this without purchasing a new battery? Thanks in advance 🤝

This happens to batteries over time.

Its time to get a new laptop or a new battery
