Best way to conserve battery life on laptop?

100% battery life is estimated to last 4-5 hours for me... I'm real upset as I turned off my keyboard backlights, dimmed down my screen and only have youtube and a couple exchange sites open.

Im using the 2015 XPS 13, windows 10.
Should I replace the battery? or what can I do to get mroe battery life?

what kind of processor? Does it take a lot of energy? 4 - 5 hours doesn't seem typical to me, it should be more like 6 - 8.

You could kill all unnecessary processes in task manager or open it in safe mode.
To be fair, your laptop's battery isn't rated to be really great. I suppose it is touchscreen, so that probably makes things worse.
I would look around control panel and task manager and see if there are any programs that you could uninstall/kill the process to help take less power. Do you normally leave your computer plugged in every night? It has recharge cycles and after so many the battery will start to perform worse.
Replacement batteries normally aren't that expensive. I recommend doing that.

I guess LION batteries are better. Dont charge by emptying them. Thanks

It's probably something on your laptop that's causing the issue. Either that, or you could probably find yourself a battery replacement. Try figuring the tasks out to see what's causing the usage, and go from there.
Linus tech tips just made a video on this recently.

thanks, these are good tips. and my procesor
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

Nothing is running on my task manager
How much will it cost to replace the battery?
half brightness at 60% says it has roughly 2 hours remaining life.
