The first two anime suggested are a bit out of flavor for me, but I would definitely recommend the next three suggested.
I would also advise reading through: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=1688773

Quite a few MUST WATCH anime on that list and it's categorized by genre.

The next three what? You didn't finish.

My bad. I was referring to your list. I'll edit my post.

I would not recommend Angel Beats as it is quite bad in some departments, like the story is pretty incomplete.

The ones i would recommend is
Attack on titan - Most people will already have heard of this one, but I highly recommend it simply because it's not heavy on the "standard" anime cliches that turn a lot of new people off, allowing for an easy start if you will, haha

Fullmetal Alchemist - One of the most popular shows recently, so I'll let the fame speak for itself.

Parasyte - More of a "mature" show that is very good and makes you think about humanity and stuff, if you're a friend at least

Are you high? Angel beats is amazing!

Hunter x Hunter (2011) the most underrated anime, that's a MUST watch anime.
