Best software to create Beats/Music?

Hey guys I'd love to create some beats/music on my own and here comes the part where I have a few questions. I don't have any tunetable or such, for the start I want to work with the software only and get to know it better. There are 2 programs I personally know: Frooty Loops & Ableton. From what I have heard yet it seems like Frooty Loops is an easier to use but not as deep 'configureable' program like ableton - Is that right? So what program should I pick now? And can I create any kind of genre with that program? I'd love to try out some electrical stuff like Dubstep, Goa, Trap, House [...] Thanks for any kind of advise & help.

I used FL Studio when I produced, mixed in with a whole bunch of VST plugins and sample packs.
