Cmd not running any commands

Since I updated to Windows 10 I haven't been able to check ping, run netstats or anything like that. The only command that seems to work it "exit" and that's not exactly useful to me. Is this something to do with another program, the update changing things, or something entirely different? Thanks. imgur(dot)com/lkq3fxS.png

Have you tried creating a .bat in the windows directory?
IE:

Code 
ping google . com

pause

Save as a .bat in desktop.
