I have Windows 8.1 installed on a VPS that's stored in a datacenter that I RDP on to do 99% of my browsing / use Skype on.

On top of that, I have around ~7 different usernames, and all my info is being stored in KeePass (Password encryption and storage).

I don't tell anyone online anything that gives a hint on my location (What school I attend, what state I live in, how old I am), because in the long run those can all be put together to dox you.

So basically, my IP isn't on anything I login to (except HF) or on my Skype. I also have around ~7 usernames, so if someone googles one, they won't find all my accounts which limits the information they can get on me (given they know it's correct since each website says a different thing).

Do you want to protect yourself from other people doxing/monitoring you or do you want to protect yourself from the government?

To remain anonymous i use hotspot shield, and when i get ratted from the massive amounts of porn i download i use norton internet security to get rid of it. Firefox also has a great mode called incognito so you are always anonymous. Good luck.

May I ask what country you are located in? This may help, due to different laws and such.
