My opinion of CSGO, from a silver master elite

I've been playing csgo for only 70 hours, have 18 wins, and I am silver master elite. Honestly, maybe it's the $200 laptop I play on, my crappy wifi, or that I'm not a pc gamer but a console one, but I hate the csgo skill gap. I had my global elite friend play on my account for fun, I'm now gold nova master and holy shit are people good. Everyone kills you within 3 shots of an ak, people are amazing with awps, it's nearly impossible to play, I went 4/19 and have no plan to keep playing after this. Generally on console I adapt quickly to the game and when I do I achieve the highest ranks but people on computer are too hardcore. Anyone else have a story of how they went from horrible to amazing? I just want to know if it's even possible for me to get better from where I am
