Ok? I just said it reminded me of it... and I am pretty sure Omniscient threatened legal action against Malware Bytes. I know lawyer was mentioned.

Malware Bytes is a bit different, legally.
If it just censors us without a message there isn't a lot I can do.

Correct. In some cases companies however label their blocks malicious which is where the possibility of libel can occur if their labeling is inaccurate or wrong.
Anyone have any screenshots btw? Doesn't sound to me like they will lift this censor. Technically they are within their rights to do that.

I can confirm this also. Just tested this out with a friend.

Well, not much I can do. You can contact and complain to Steam. The more people who do the more likely they might do something. But then again...
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Not much is going to happen in my eyes. I can see why they blocked it but I don't think it is entirely fair. No-one is going to get fucked over my clicking a hf.net link full stop. You can't upload shit to hf.
I don't think this is really a problem though, more just the princible that they blocked everyone's fav site. Just shorten it or put spaces in the link. 🤝
Seems like Steam has gone on a URL blocking streak lately. I don't know if I just noticed it but seems they've blocked some popular key sites too.
If people don't understand why Valve would block HF then you aren't really thinking much about some of the content we have on HF.
Let me explain my reason: We have a gaming section were cheats are discussed a lot. Especially in the Counter strike sub-forum. It could be a way for Valve to maybe take away a bit of reference to cheating discussions.
Beside this forum has been used a lot for selling/buying stolen Steam accounts. Also we have a marketplace were CS:GO items are being sold for real money(Outside the Steam Marketplace), and if I remember correct it's against the ToS of Valve to sell for money outside the Steam Wallet, meaning the Steam Marketplace.
Sadly they filtered it, however in the end it doesn't take much brain to see the reasoning. There have been a lot of discussions on here to take advantage for their systems, cheating, even fraud (despite it being against the rules) so generally they are taking a stance away from HF.
