Apparently Steam messenger filters anything with hackforums.net in it to {LINK REMOVED}. It doesn't censor 'hackforums' from what I can tell, just anything with the full domain including TLD. Not sure if this is just me. It'll only appear with {LINK REMOVED} for the person you sent it to.
Is this happening for anybody else? How long has this been occurring?
Yeah this has been happening to me and a couple of friends for quite some time. I think steam just blocks links that has "hack" in it.
Yeah I think steam just blocked out hackforums in the last week haha

Try typing pornhack.net and check if they filter everything with hack in the domain.
HackForums is RIP on Steam.
It was happening to me too, thought it was a glitch.

They don't. I tried hack.com and it wasn't blocked.
Yeah, noticed this yesterday. Says it some kind of phising link or a malicious site.

Could it be something to do with forums? I don't know any other sites to try.
The fact that HackForums have been a large source for hacked steam accounts, wouldn't surprise me they ended up with blocking it.
Am I the only one that thinks this is sort of like when Malware Bytes blocked HF for a while until Omniscient threatened legal action or w/e? I obviously wasn't registered at that time but I saw the forum thread on Malware Bytes where it all went down lmao
IDK. There were a lot of Steam Stealers and such on Hackforums a while ago (even though they're disallowed now) and maybe Steam just caught on? Idk.
This happenings because steam thinks this site has/gives out malware.

Is this happening for anybody else? How long has this been occurring? Steam filters Citadelservers.com which is my friends server hosting company.
It's hard to know what sites are and aren't blocked. Like many of the actual spam websites aren't blocked.

I guess if Steam receives a lot of complaints of a certain domain, they'll probably block it.
Probably a bunch of skids linking or promoting their threads.

A business does have the right to refuse business from another site, and if that involves protecting themselves they are well within their rights.
