I haven't logged into that account in a couple of years. So if you use BTC-e you may wan to change your password. luckily i didnt lose anything because I had less than $5 in any coin. best of luck to ya.
This has nothing to do with BTC-E though I definitely do not recommend storing coins in exchanges...that's an even worse idea than leaving your blockchain insecure.
I use blockchain, but I don't use it for transactions larger than usually $200. my total transactions is only around $1000. I have a 10+ character password but no further authentication.
Would you consider I change wallet or just setup proper authentication? Or not bother because I don't deal with massive amounts of BTC?
How about you just don't use Blockchain and keep your private keys offline and encrypted. Simple and easy, just use Multibit or Electrum if you don't want to wait for Bitcoin Core to download its database.

I am using Multibit but I've had lots of issue sending with it recently
Thanks for this post OP
great information here I've recently transferred all my funds out of blockchain but will probably go back to it
This is so true. I use blockchain and I have all the security features I can. I'll be damned if I get my wallet robbed.

Glad someone agrees, hopefully newbies take this into practice and keep their coins safe.
Also consider Bitgo for an online wallet. Some really good options to secure the account as well as you download the private key when you create the wallet.
As Omni said guys, take note/save in safe place the private key of your Blockchain wallet when you create it.
Nice tips for others OP.

I can also recommend bitgo even though the security delays payments a ton - security comes first
Thank you for the notice going to start being more safe with my wallet
