Trust Scan Addition

In my opinion the country trustworthiness would be good but only if shown as a numerical number. Would be shit to downgrade a trustscan based on where a person lives. Numerical scale wouldn't show where they live but a band of where they may live. 1-3 being pretty untrustworthy (China, and countries without cyber crime laws) and 4-7 being somewhat trustworthy (2nd world countries) and 8-10 being trustworthy (NATO allies).

Edit: Not sure if you'll like this OMNI but maybe add a "Remember to Trust Scan before deals" banner at the top of all Marketplace sub forums?

The trust worth country feature would be a good idea depending on how it was worded. Maybe a region would be a better way of doing it but then again if someone is in the same region as a scammer it's going to look bad on them.

It's a difficult one.

Was that member using this account as a main account (he made it), or did he also hijack that one?
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.
Great addition. Love it. I use the trust scan ALL the time. This is one of the best tools we have, and you just made it better. Thank you.

I agree. Too many users (who got accused of scamming with proof) are still being seen as "trusted".

Those who flame / troll in groups (rep abuse, trolling abuse, etc.) are considered HQ because they gain or give a lot of reputation to a certain member.
Those who scammed other HF members are often seen as "HQ" because they did some exchanges after.

It's good to see that you're warning us + offering us a new solution for these multi-accounter scammers.
Not only are account sold (HF account) many members who are sketchy / childish / flaming, are putting their heads together to flame / reputate others.
This happens (often) over Skype, so they won't be "caught" breaking the rep abuse rule.
I wish to see that HF would become as it was 6 years ago.
HQ, respecting members, less flaming and a better "atmosphere" among us members. 🤝
Thank you for this, Should help catch some of the sketchy mfs.
I feel like whoever sells their HF accounts should be ban too. Think about it, they make a few bucks and later come back to the site and sell their accounts again. Really like a promotion for the scam they prevent.

I don't think that laws stop the people from scamming on HF. It's simply about the morals. Nobody files a police report when they get scammed on HF, so rating according to the factor that you posted above doesn't seem about right. Rather Scammers from that country(on HF)/Total number of people from that country (on HF) multiplied by 100 seems alright.

Sadly you can't let the ocean flow into the river without a few bad fish getting in too.
IE - you can't have a popular site with good members without the trolls coming too.

I got to admit, it's absolutely incredible what 13 year olds are doing now days. When I was 13 I was climbing trees and shit.

I hope this asshole gets caught.

They do get banned, it's a bannable offence to sell, trade or share your account.

Depending on the money and the information, people do file police reports.
The cyber crime wasn't included for indication on laws stopping scammers, it's just that less cybercrime laws lead to more bad deeds. Half the spam in the world comes from China afterall.

No I know that, eventually they do when users get scammed by the account. But I meant if Omni manually researched the original owners IP to see if he made a new account for another journey into the site. Because for all we know, this dude is scamming and the other guy that sold him the account is making more and building it up for another scam in the future.

The list is topped by U.S. 😖

This is also done, often. Omni and Staff are always looking for suspicious account activity and things like that, even if it's just a user getting hacked.

That shows reported spam, a good bit of Chinese and other shitty country spam doesn't even get past big email hosters (I'm talking email here, not SMS or anything like that) spam filters.
