Hack Forums Feedback – Intro
Some of you know me, some of you do not. As you can see from my Hack Forums display name, my name is Lookin. I am posting this feedback thread due to the nature of me feeling like I have gotten to know the forum rather well. I wanted to share my journey with the community, perhaps, give something back in a manner of text? I registered on here on the fifth of October, 2016. I am still a very, very new member. I came on here mainly to look for cheats for games. Oh boy, did I come across something a lot more beautiful than just a forum filled with game cheats. This is the place, where I met a lot of amazing people, where I expanded my knowledge around so many subjects, in a matter of so little time. There are a lot of different personalities on here – we have the mature and helpful, we have the funny types, we have the caring types. Hack Forums is one of the biggest forums on the Internet. The name gives it away as a forum related to hacking, but oh my, is it something so much more beautiful.
Hack Forums Feedback – Unity
Hack Forums is being deemed as a hacking forum .. based on well, the name. Hack Forums is indeed the go-to forum for discussing hacking related activity, but it is also so much else.
Omniscient was asked in an interview many years ago, what he, himself described Hack Forums as, and it is honestly the most descriptive and true definition.
«HF is a computer enthusiasts site dedicated mainly to computer security but also has general interest topics where like-minded individuals discuss everyday life topics like movies, politics, school and other aspects of our society.»
We aren't a unity. We aren't a "oneness", we do not strictly sit in a circle and discuss hacking. We have political stands, we have personal life discussions, we talk about our educations, we talk about science, religion, philosophy and so many other topics. We all are different, and that is what makes the general discussions on here amazing.
We have a lot of kind people on here, and that is not only in the matter of people who share their fortune of money, but also people who give away their knowledge, talk, help each other and just take time out of their day to post in either yours or my thread. A simple and respectful hello can lead to a million things. Most of the beautiful words in the entire world have already been used thousands of times, but that doesn't make them any less beautiful. Share your happiness, your greatness, and your gratitude. Show your positive side, and keep the negative side away - only that way, will this forum become an even better place than it already is.
Hack Forums Feedback – Sections
Rules, Announcements, News and Feedback
When not in The Lounge or in any of the groups I am a part of, I tend to spend most of my time in this section. In this section, and it's sub-sections, you tend to come across most of the same questions/suggestions over and over again.
I love reading threads inside this section, though. People share their feedback, people share their suggestions and it's generally a very nice place to read threads, as people tend to maintain a quality tone within this section, due to the matter of fact, that this is probably the most browsed section by Omniscient alongside the rest of the staff management team.
HF News
You guys are doing an amazing job running the HF News. Never let anything take you down - I know you have come across your challenges, differences and hard tasks, but you have always pulled through. iHydra, I won't forget the chat you and I had a few weeks back. You really shared some valuable information with me, and I respect everything you have done, and everything you are planning to do in the future. You have accomplished something amazing, hopefully, one day I can perhaps share my knowledge and experience as a member of the HF News team.
The Lounge
I tend to spend most my time browsing The Lounge. Sadly, there are a lot of of trolls in this section, those who don't know where to post, so they tend to post in the lounge. There are people who simply post within the lounge to seek attention, and then there are those rare people who actually post valuable information, and/or a good and interesting thread.
Crypto Currency
One of my favorite sections on this forum. A lot of people who a very broad knowledge in marketing, investing and cryptocurrencies. I recently got into cryptocurrencies, and would it not have been for the people in this section, then I would never had been seeing the profit I do today. Thank you all within the section.
Science, Religion, Philosophy, and Politics
I stalk this section A LOT. I tend to not post in there, as I mostly see people being ripped into pieces for having their own opinion(s). People are allowed to have their own opinion, but sadly, a lot of people judge them heavily based on what their religion, political stand or belief is. I wish this section wasn't as biased as it is being put as, as a lot of people tend to stay out of this section, as they don't want to be ripped a new one.
