I was recently given a negative rep. This individual only wrote 'read the Help Docs'.
If someone was concerned enough to give me a negative rep, one would think they would be concerned enough to at least give an actual reason?

Additionally, when I just attempted to message the individual, it says my message cant be sent because I am on this person's ignore list...

I find it pretty shameful and cowardly, to just give negative reps with no valid reason and and then NOT accept messages from the person you gave the rep to...

I am not here to play childish games.

Is there some way to prevent people from just giving out negative reps with no specific reason?
Or maybe it is that way for a reason....
I really don't know, but thought I would mention how disappointing and sad this experience was, thanks!

Did you send anything to that user I was trolling?
Let me tell you why I am trolling him, he posted he looking for people to dox me and kill me (using more discrete words) of course.
That guy is a proven liar and is multi-accounting as we speak.

It would have been more informative to put your feedback in the feedback area of the rep.

Also, I have proof he is a serial scammer and more.

No one has bothered to say anything to him about soliciting a hit job on someone?!

As far as acting as though I am older than 16, try not giving negative reps with no info and ignoring people...Can you not see how that might frustrate someone?

Reputation does not exist. Hack Forums has a popularity system, where any upgraded member can give another member a popularity rating. This can be negative, neutral, or positive. There is a selection of prewritten messages to choose from when giving someone a rating as well.

There does not have to be a reason to give someone a popularity rating, and popularity ratings do not mean anything, nor do they matter. I wouldn't be too concerned about your popularity rating if I were you.

Another user Lynx met the same problem last month. He acted like a normal, sensible adult and didn't go from thread to thread calling the other person names.

I would take the advice of the pop message. Read the Help Docs. The fact that you created this thread shows you didn't. As for the second part, it's not an excuse. If you think someone is threatening you in any way, contact the staff. If you think trolling someone who is breaking the rules is going to help your case in any way, you're just stupid.
